About the Studio
At Berlin Flameworking Studio, fire and glass come together to create something unforgettable.
Located in the heart of Berlin, Germany, our studio officially opened its doors on May 8th, 2024 with one goal in mind: to create a welcoming, creative space where people can discover the art of glass flameworking, learn new skills, and connect through creativity.
Founded and operated by glass artist and instructor Jason Hitchcock, the studio is built around community, curiosity, and hands-on experience. Whether you’re picking up a torch for the very first time or already have experience behind the flame, you’ll find an encouraging environment where experimentation and creativity are always welcome.
We offer:
-
Beginner and advanced flameworking classes
-
Borosilicate and soft glass instruction
-
Studio rental for independent artists
-
Custom commission work
-
Unique creative experiences for both locals and visitors to Berlin
Our mission is to continue growing Berlin’s glass art community by bringing together like-minded people who are excited to learn, create, and share their passion for this incredibly unique art form.
Jason is passionate about making flameworking approachable, inspiring, and fun while maintaining a strong focus on safety and technique. Every class is designed to help students build confidence, develop skills, and leave with something they’re proud of — whether that’s their first glass bead or an entirely new creative obsession.
More than just a studio, Berlin Flameworking Studio is a place to slow down, try something different, meet new people, and experience the magic of shaping molten glass with your own
We’d love to welcome you into the studio and share the world of flameworking with you.
